Ashraf Ismail born in Egypt in 1962. He received his undergraduate in architecture and planning in Saudi Arabia at King Saud University. His postgraduate education started in UK in 1985, where he obtained Town Planning qualification from Sheffield University. He attended professional courses in Project Planning and Cost Elements at the University of California in Irvine, USA. Following to that, he returned to the UK to establish his architectural career at numerous architectural practices in London. Now Ashraf Ismail is a Chartered Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and ARB (Architects Registration Board) Registered Architect in UK. He has more than 25 years experience in architecture and planning with proven competence in development planning and management, conceptual and detailed design, project coordination and management, construction contract administration, and construction supervision.
As an Architect and Lead Consultant, he worked on medium to large scale projects located in Europe, South Africa, Japan and the Middle East; while worked for several reputable international architectural practices in UK. This experience enabled him to attract own clients in the UK and Overseas and when he established his business in 2000.
As a Town Planner, he has a very strong track record in regional and local planning; with special competence in policy analysis and formulation, development briefs, planning applications, and knowledgeable of the legal planning appeal process in UK. He has interests in other closely related subjects such as; socio-economics and integration of sustainable projects within large regional and urban context.
In academia, he was awarded PhD in CAD in 1996 from Portsmouth University after completing his doctorate research. He is the founder of the concept "The 3D CAAD Modelling Paradigm"; as disseminated in numerous academic and research papers as project findings in refereed journals and major international conferences proceedings and books published in UK, The Netherland, Italy, Belgium, Spain, USA, and USSR. All publications were related to the subjects of 3D CAD modelling in architecture and urban planning, Intelligent CAD Modelling and Design Methods, Shared and Central Models, and City Modelling Techniques.
Ashraf Ismail utilises the application of modern information technology techniques to the very heart of managing project cycles and the business in general. He is very experienced in CAD and the use of 3D Modelling visualisation techniques enabling him to explain the design concepts to clients and the project stakeholders.
